We built the AI coach that calls you to practice English.
Phoniq is an outbound voice AI platform. Instead of opening an app, the user's phone rings on a schedule they set, like having a tutor who never forgets. Real phone calls, real conversation, pay by the minute.

The problem
Two billion people study English. Almost none of them get enough real speaking practice.
Grammar apps have solved drills. What they have not solved is the hardest part of language learning: speaking under pressure, with a real voice on the other end of the line. Human tutors work but cost $15 to $30 per hour and require scheduling. Most learners quit before they build the habit.
Anxiety
Speaking in front of a person feels exposed. Most learners freeze in the first five minutes.
Scheduling friction
Booking a human tutor, showing up on time, paying per session: the setup cost kills the habit.
Price ceiling
Human instruction is the bottleneck. Supply is capped, price is fixed, access is limited.
The solution
The phone rings. You talk. You improve.
Users sign up, pick times that work for their week, and the AI calls them on schedule. No app to open, no screen to stare at, no calendar dance. Just a conversation, analysed afterwards for pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and fluency.
Outbound by design
The hardest thing in language learning is showing up. When the phone rings, you pick it up. It's a commitment device: streaks without the guilt-tripping notifications.
Hybrid, transparent billing
Both minute packages and monthly plans, priced per minute. No "unlimited" claims, no hidden caps. Users see exactly what they will pay before they buy. Positive contribution margin on every minute, from day one.
Structured analysis
Every call is scored on pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and fluency. A clear written report, CEFR level tracking over time, and adaptive difficulty on the next call.
Global from day one
Multi-region telephony and pricing built in. Live in Turkey, MENA and LATAM next. A single platform that charges users in their local currency and calls them from a local number.
Why we win
The category looks crowded. The structure underneath it is not.
Every alternative in the outbound AI English coaching niche makes at least one of four structural compromises that Phoniq does not. These are not minor product details. They define which users a platform can serve, how it bills, and whether the unit economics survive scale.
Real phone calls, not in-app push
Some products that claim to "call you" are actually scheduled push notifications inside an app. Phoniq is a real telephony call from a regional carrier number. Users can answer while walking, driving, or cooking, no screen, no app to open.
Web + iOS + Android parity from day one
Most consumer apps in this niche are mobile-only, often single-platform. Phoniq launched with a full web dashboard, iOS, and Android apps sharing the same data and billing. In Turkey this means access to the ~70% of users on Android that single-platform competitors structurally cannot serve. MENA and LATAM Android shares are even higher.
Honest, per-minute pricing
Every alternative making "unlimited" claims is either applying a hidden fair-use cap or burning capital on negative unit economics. Phoniq prices per minute, and users see the cost before they buy. Predictable on both sides of the ledger.
B2B and multi-region wired in from launch
Organisation accounts, bulk seats, role-based access, scoped API keys, multi-region pricing, and multi-currency billing are not on a roadmap, they are in the product. The same platform that serves an individual user in Istanbul serves a 200-seat company in São Paulo or London. Three enterprise channels open naturally on top of this: corporate L&D, language schools and clubs, and university English prep programs.
Why now
Conversation-grade voice AI just became affordable.
Two years ago, latency and quality made real-time voice AI a novelty. Today, sub-second turn-taking and natural prosody are commodity. What is not commodity, and where Phoniq spent its engineering cycles, is the platform layer: outbound scheduling, multi-carrier resilience, adaptive learning loops, and the pricing mechanics that make pay-per-minute viable.
Cost curve
Per-minute cost of real-time voice AI fell ~10× over the last two years, and keeps falling.
Latency
Sub-second AI response times make conversation feel natural, not robotic.
Habit loop
Outbound calling, long understood in telecoms, is new for consumer learning products.
Experience it
The best way to evaluate a voice product is to use it.
Create a free account in under a minute and take the first level test on us. The AI will call you, ask you to tell it about your day, and produce a written CEFR assessment at the end. It takes about three minutes.
Try Phoniq yourself
No credit card. No commitment. Your phone rings within a few minutes of signing up.
Status
Production, not slideware.
Phoniq is a live product with real users, real calls, and real payments, not a prototype. Quantitative metrics (weekly active users, minutes, retention, revenue) are kept in the investor package rather than on a public page. Shared on request after a short intro call.

Team
Solo founder. Full stack. Capital efficient.
Phoniq was designed and built end-to-end by one person: backend in Go, web in Next.js, mobile in React Native, voice and telephony integrations, billing, admin, analytics. This is not a pitch about a plan. The product is running.
Post-funding, the first hires are a growth/marketing lead for Turkey and a senior engineer to extend the voice platform. The goal is not a large team; it is a small team with unusually high ownership per person.
Mesut Genez, Founder & Engineer
Software engineer based in Turkey. Shipped the entire Phoniq stack (API, web dashboard, mobile apps, billing, admin, voice platform, scheduler) as a single operator. Comfortable making architectural, product, and commercial decisions without a committee.
Technology
The moat is orchestration, not raw voice AI.
The voice model is a commodity input. The defensible layer is everything around it: scheduling reliability across carriers, adaptive learning loops, pay-per-minute billing that survives failure modes, and a provider-agnostic architecture that lets Phoniq switch vendors without rewriting the product.
Outbound orchestration
Multi-region, multi-carrier scheduling with capacity awareness and automatic fallback.
Provider-agnostic
Voice model, telephony carrier, and payment processor are all pluggable. Vendor swap is a config change, not a rewrite.
Adaptive learning
Per-user scoring, CEFR tracking, and difficulty calibration on the next call based on the last one.
B2B-ready
Multi-tenant from day one: organisations, members, roles, and org-level billing already in the schema.
Architecture diagrams, vendor stack, cost-per-minute breakdowns, and the scaling plan are covered in the investor package under NDA.
Brand & entity
Clean corporate and IP footing.
GENEZ LLC
Phoniq operates under GENEZ LLC, a United States limited liability company. Payments processing and contracting entity is US-based; the founder is located in Turkey.
Trademark
PHONIQ is a trademark application (pending) filed with the Turkish Patent & Trademark Office, application number 2026/050388, April 2026. Madrid Protocol (WIPO) extension for international protection is planned ahead of a fundraising close.
